I also have mention of the use of the Military Camp cancel at Quarantine Bay in 1918, although nothing has been sighted.

Fantastic John.

The only addition I can make is Barnes Bay opened 1902 and closed 1904, no evidence sighted.

Lancaster states the ½d V over Crown litho printings were perforated with 11 & 12½ gauges. SG lists compunds of 12½ and 11 (237a) and 12½ and 12 (237b, this unpriced).

Is the latter stamp known to modern day collectors?

It was an ebay pick up some years ago, cost me $10 from memory.

I agree entirely. In this age where it is so much easier to create permanent photo records of major displays and collections, such records should be created wherever possible.
