Hardinge lists several 8aT varieties, but the present example seems to be unlisted.
There is No 8T in the listing or the latest update.
Is this a true item or has the index code not come through in the postmarking process?

I am certain this is Type R6 (ii), (iii) as it has the very short bar between TAS and the Postcode

This postmark is dated 23 No 1990

Query early or late usage of PROSPECT 23 AUG 1991, or a new variety. Help !! I have a HOBART / TAS-AUST postmark dated "4-P-5JA90" but no postcode as I would have expected in 1990. Perusing Avery and Hardinge the likely identification is either 5sT (dates given as 1961-1979) or R6b "Tas Aust" at base. but again dates do not fit (1968-1974. It does look like a rubber ...

Hardinge states that this postmarker used Violet ink for 1991.
This would appear to be late usage, but have others seen this year with Violet ink?

Can anyone help with this LINDA datestamp Type 4a dated 8OC53 with an inverted "5"
