Re: WHEREIZIT? SEEK ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING A VIEW HERE!!!

Can anyone identify this power station? It was with other Tasmanian postcards, so I think there is a good chance that it is somewhere in Tasmania. It is not Waratah or Lake Margaret power stations.

I can now confirm that the postcard view of a group of gentleman (see first post) does indeed include T.B.Moore. This same photograph appears in the book, 'Beyond the Ramparts' by Kerry Pink and Annette Ebdon, on page 250. The book was published by the Circular Head Bicentennial History Group in Jun...

The Launceston postmark is dated 27/3/14. A trove search confirmed the 1914 date. This card is now listed on the F.W.Niven Listing. sca...

Just noticed this Franco British Exhibition card on an internet auction site. Unfortunately the stamp have been removed but the posting date was June 29th 1908. Again posted from Ulverstone by a Jean Douglas and again the view of the Tasmanian Gold Mine at Beaconsfield! Just noticed that Malcolm Gro...

"Hobart / Tas" Double Ring CDS

The Courier No 58 Dec 2014, page 35, John Harding details the rare "Hobart / Tas" double ring CDS and mentions that it always shows 1907 as the date. This example has the 7 changed by hand to an eight. The card is dated 2/9/08 and is addressed to France. I believe the postage rate should of been 1 1...
