Devonport West Type 8 Any ideas here? Hardinge list this postmark as type 8T having had the TIME removed from it.
This example has had the entire dateline removed. Has anyone else seen this type before??

Re: RECORD YOUR NEW EARLY & LATE DATES, etc. HERE

Glenorchy R6 I am not sure whether this is an early date. This R6 datestamp is dated 17 September 1992. This would make it a R6 (i) however Hardinge describes this postmark as being 30mm diameter. This one measures 38mm which suggests R6 (ii) & (III) with a very small dash. However this postmark is ...

Wynyard R6 postmarks.
Found these recently. The blue postmark appears to be unlisted in Hardinge, but sadly the full date is not
readable. However it proves that the blue ink version does exist. Has anyone else seen this?

Certainly the 4R and 5R postmarks listed by Hardinge are not the same as R4 and R5 and types 5s and 7b do not seem to fit either. Burnie Pos...

I think the dateline says"1D" (double impression) 12 AU60
which would make this postmark 2bR. Any ideas please?

Lower Sandy Bay I am not sure whether I have misidentified the post mark. There is only one rubber datestamp listed by JH and this is R8 (4 Nov 1993-IU 1995). The present postmark is dated 2 Apr 1992 which would appear to be an extremely early date of usage. OR is this a 6T? which at least fits the ...

Mole Creek 7(m)
I am not sure that this item qualifies as a late date, but Hardinge states that "Sometime in 1996
or early 1997 this CDS was changed to large dateline." This shows that on 21 (or ? 24) November 1997 the
7(m) with large 9 in the year was still in use.

Ridgley 6a Postmark I am totally confused. This is a 6a postmark but the date appears to have an inverted 7 which is not so unusual BUT if we accept the date as 1974 there is a problem. It appears to be a type 6 postmark, but this is unlisted. There is no evide...

Sandy Bay Paid CDS Hardinge lists an R6a in Red and in Black however the present example is certainly not a R6a as there is no dash between TAS and 7005 and there are dashes at the sides, although the date fits the range. Also the colour is blue rather than Red or Black. Is there an R8 variety? Sand...

Kingston Paid CDS
This 8aT(ii) postmark appears not to be listed by Hardinge. Firstly the listing describes Red ink
rather than the blue used in this example and secondly, the date is well past the quoted last date of17 Mar 1991,
and it certainly is not a R6aT.
Any ideas please?

The attached example has the first numeral LARGE. Is this a new example, or is Hardinge misquoted?

Re: POST 1912 DATESTAMP INQUIRIES - ASK QUESTIONS HERE !!

I am trying to identify the following two postmarks from Hobart. As far as I can make out they are Type 7aT, but there the problem begins as they are both "SD" which according to Hardinge's dates make this a very late usage. (LD 7 June 1982). The 7aT(ii) dates from 25 Feb 1986 - IU 1994, but the not...

Savage River date stamp. This appears to be a Type 6 postmark with no hyphen between TAS and Postcode.
