After 11 years, I found another real photo card by Reiss

The Hydro-Electric water storage was completed in 1953 which helps "date" this view.

I just found this card earlier today. It would be from the 1950s/60s period and features a view of the SHOT TOWER at Taroona illustrated by a Roy Cox who was probably the publisher as well vv1109.jpg I have not seen any cards by this illustrator before - do you have any? Please post any images here ...

Just discovered this very early use of the 1d Tasmanian International Exhibition souvenir postal card (PC6)

Mailed at Hobart on December 16th · message dated December 15th - card was issued in December 1893

This real photo card was found with a selection of other cards all with Tasmanian views

I know it's long shot, but does anyone have any idea as to whether this is a Tasmanian view or not?

NEW late date for the KANGAROO POINT Type U2 cds struck on the back of a 1d QV postal card

This late date is 3 years and 2 days later than the previous LRD

RHYNDASTON Type 1 with obvious smaller '2' in 'year ....... has anyone noticed this before?

One could assume that it was used for all or much of 1912 .....do you have an example with a 'normal' 2 or one like this?

New late date for FALMOUTH Type 5 cds - -5FE69 - previous LRD was -5SE67 so this discovery is quite a' leap forward'.

Just found two cards by a 'new' publisher using Spurling & Son cards

These cards are a 'recent discovery' ....the Tourist Bureau cards printed in colour!

Correction for last day of operation of the PRESTON post office - currently listed as being 30 OC 1981 however this date was a Saturday and the PO would have closed on a weekday See 'last day cover' below postmarked on Friday 30 OC 1981 which would have been the actual date of closure jj1211.jpg
