3 more EAW real photo cards. The only EAW I know is Burnie photographer ERNEST ALBERT WINTER. Is it possible its Winter? Did he have some connection to Bothwell? 2 of my cards are posted from Bothwell,1908 and 1912. I agree that he/she was an excellent photographer. scan0412.jpg scan0411.jpg scan041...

Re: Selwyn Cox Cards Produced for Local Publishers: a Survey
I have stayed out of this post as I have my cards sorted by town / area, so to find and list cards by Selwyn Cox / Wynphotoprint would be a big task and I do not have the time at the moment. I have two copies of the Commercial Hotel Wynyard, have scanned the back of each card. "The Photoglase Series...

Hello Ross
Yes I think it is the Eastern Side of Freycinet. My guess it is a view looking south from the top of the hill above Bluestone Bay looking towards the Nuggets.

Re: 'A Tale of Two Breadens' - who was G.M. Breaden??
A quick look at Trove, the following was found, Mercury 12/9/45 Flight Officer G M Breaden of Waverly Av New Town, a RAAF prisoner of war in Germany for 16 months returns home. He is listed as producing another Souvenir view folder of 16 views of Port Arthur. In the Tasmanian Trade and Business Dire...

Re: THE FRANCO-BRITISH EXHIBITION CARDS of 1908 - A LISTING
An important new find ? To my knowledge this is the first recording of a Tasmanian Franco Exhibition postcard with the Exhibition Postmark. Can anyone record another copy? The card was posted 7th July 1908 from the Exhibition in London to Leeds. The picture on the front is "British and Foreign Woolb...

Hop Growing But WHERE??
I think this real photo postcard is by H.J.King but where is it? This very distinct creek crossing should be easy to identify. I guess the best clue is the hops growing behind the house. As far as I know hops have only been grown around the Bushy Part area and around Branxholm in the North east. I b...

Re: UNLISTED TASMANIAN PHOTOGRAPHERS
Found this real photo card today by photographer G. GLOVER. "Long" in his book does not list him. In 1913 a Geo Glover lived at 5 Lochner St Hobart. I wonder if this is him. Has anyone else come across G Glover? The card has Kodak / Austral on the back with solid circles in each corner. scan0252.jpg

The following real photo postcard is I believe a shot taken by H J King on the the top of Mt Arthur near Launceston. c1913 I think the man in the middle with the long leather coat is Stephen Spurling. Re: ADVERTISING CARDS by F.W. NIVEN
Much appreciated Patrick. Have looked in my Tas PO directories (1904 and 1913) and a google search but have been unable to locate Paterson's Luncheon Room. Not sure if this card is Tasmanian but perhaps, my guess it is Hobart. (At the moment) I hope someone can confirm this. My research suggests tha...

Unused real photo card by Spurling. I think this is taken at the Old showgrounds Launceston? What does A.S.C. stand for? I believe "The Right of the Line" is a military term.
Real photo card by R.McGuffie, Hobart. Unused, no names unfortunately.

East Coast, Arts & Craft Society, Photographer??
This unused real photo postcard shows 12 views of Tasmania's East Coast. These photographs won first prize in the Tasmanian Arts and Craft Society's competition.
Can anyone identify the prize winning photographer and perhaps the year? I would guess c1912!
