The January 2010 edition of "The Informer" (Journal of The Society of Australasian Specialists/Oceania) has
a most interesting and detailed study by TPS member David McNamee on these puzzling stationery items.

David reports that to date, ten wrappers have been recorded as having been through the mails. In the article, nine of the ten
used wrappers are illustrated in colour. The 3d wrapper illustrated above (ex Tinsley, Groom)is mentioned by David but as
he did not have an image available at the time of writing it could not be included.

With his kind permission, a copy of David's article has been added to the TPS website and can be viewed via this link:

"The Informer" is published quarterly and regularly features articles about Tasmanian stamps and postal history by many of
the leading collectors in this field. Membership of the SAS/O is recommended to all TPS BB members and can be contacted via this link:

If you have any information about used (and unused) examples of these wrappers or a "new find" to report, please post here.

You can also e-mail information/images directly to David McNamee via this Online Forum (if you are a registered user)
