I have been doing some work on the 1D overprint on the 3d platypus.
So far i have been able to find 5 singles and a pair plus the known sheet which is separated into two halves via the horizontal gutter.
5 of the 7 have REVENUE off centre and 2 [a pair] have REVENUE centre.
Here is my first find a dropped 1D by 2mm at row 9 stamp 9. --
Others include double surcharge row 12 stamp 5 ,which happens to be one of the 5 singles recorded: --
Another single from Francis Kiddle's collection --
A pair in a private collection: --
From a private collection one of them used: --
Plus Bill has a single.
--
Other varieties that can be found:
'1' of '1D' leaning to the right. Found in row 1 stamps 6&8. Row 2 stamps 1&9. Row 6 stamp 10.
Thick 'D' in '1D' [showing a smaller centre] Row 7 stamp 1. Row 10 stamps 4&5. Row 11 stamp 10.
Surcharge double: Row 12 stamp 5.
This now begs the question were these done singularly or was it a full mould of 120.
Any thoughts or additions?
