10d QV SIDEFACE FISCALLY USED - SEEN ANY?
I have seen quite a few QV Sideface issues fiscally used over the years but
until now, not the 10d value ....... has anyone else seen one?

thanks David .... there must have been lots of these stamps available for fiscal
use due to the short-lived postage rate for which it was intended to cater but then again, 10d
was not a standard stamp duty amount so it could only really be used in a 'make up" role.
Can anyone increase our census to three or more examples?

I actually have one on document -- probably a rare bird. Promissory note dated 2 January 1885 for £250. The 10d SF paid one-third the total 2/6 duty owed on this Second of three duplicates (6d per £50 = 30d, divided by 3 = 10d). Issued by Mt. Bischoff Tin Mining Co. Document folded for convenience.
