Most interesting - the T perfins are the "real McCoy" and on a 10/- CofA a pleasure to see!

My guess is that as Tas government departments were big users of telegrams, they would have
prepared the original (with appropriate franking bearing the official T perfin) before departing
to the post office for transmission.

Therefore, stamps without official perfins would not have been purchased 'over the counter'.

These squiggles are very similar to many you see on ex telegram form stamps used at Hobart Railway. They were heavy users of telegrams there, most punctured T.
