Has the large hole Type 3 'A' perfin been seen on a ½d QV Tablet before?

Yes I have seen this before and I have a single example. Mine is P/M 1903 .

It is a common pattern but this is certainly the hardest issue to find with this pattern .

You show a nice multiple , I must say that I have never seen a multiple of this value and certainly not with this pattern.

It shows us that the A .6 ( Mathews HAPP numbers ) is most likely a single head device , although I would need to see another mulitple to compare distance between strikes . It is odd that such a prolific perfin user such as Adams only used one multiple head device , that is the A.3 / A.4 ( Mathews HAPP numbers )device that has been shown to be a 6 head device .
