You can't get much more ephemeral than a school exercise book. :)

How does c.1910 sound for an approx. date of publication? Has anyone seen
anything similar?

I haven't seen this exercise book but the picture of "Hobart and Mount Wellington from Bellerive" is identical to the first photograph in the booklet Picturesque Hobart and Surroundings (54 views) published by Spurling Pty Ltd Launceston. It has no date ...the State Library lists it as circa 1930 but the photographs appear to be from the 1920's (some maybe earlier).
T.L.Hood were booksellers at 118 Liverpool St Hobart at the time of the first World War.

Another school exercise book. Beautiful Tasmania Exercise Book. No publishers name but could be T.L.Hood. I would guess c1912.

...and another but published J. Walch & Sons who looks like they were
responsible for Mike's book.
