Probably like nearly of you I've been collecting since aged 10 years so that makes 56 years. I sold all my collections - except one - 29 years ago to buy our house, but two years ago I returned to collecting.
The one collection I retained and continued to develop - it's now been 45 years - is the numbered cancellations of all the Australian states on the Commonwealth issues. So far as Tasmania is concerned, the numbered and datestamp cancellers, but only on the Pictorial series. However many all-era postmarks from Tasmanian post offices also fit nicely into the Australian beaches and islands collections. However ........ my real focus these days is on local posts in Australasia and receiving offices in all the Australian states.
