Greetings from England

#1 Post by blue-within-blue » Wed Sep 22, 2021 12:33 am

Hello, I'm Rob from the north of England. I had a pretty good schoolboy collection in the 70s, encouraged by my late father who was a published expert in his field of Finnish shipping stamps. I stopped collecting when I went to university, and jumped out of aeroplanes for 40 years (still do) but recently returned to the hobby about 5 years ago with more money to spend. My main collecting areas these days are Cape triangles and early Mauritius, plus a few nice early British Guiana. My main reason for joining here was to help keep members informed about the myriad identities of the "Sydney Forger", George Nassar, who has been conning Ebay buyers for many years with fake overprints, perfins and cancellations on piece.
