Folks, please pardon the German title. I am simply looking for a
Senf 1914 catalogue, especially the second part, which deals with
postal stationery. Ascher may have used it to help him compile
his Grosser Ganzsachen Katalog in the late 1920s, which is still
well regarded even today.
It would be very interesting to see how the Tasmanian stationery
was listed, including the PTPO issues. Of course, similar listings
of the mainland Colonies would also be of great interest to me
but let's focus on the Tasmanian issues.
Does anyone know where a copy is held?

Have you tried the Munich Philatelic Library?

I just checked and the Munich Philatelic Library have both volumes from 1914.
...sorry, can't help with plane ticket to Germany!

I have acquired photocopies of all six Australian States from the 1914 edition
of Senf's catalogue, Volume 2 (Postal Stationery), plus the title page and the
general introductory notes. These include the standard conventions to state
the different layouts found on postal stationery, very similar to what's found
in the Higgins and Gage catalogue of postal stationery for the world.
It was edited by Carl Lindenberg for Senf Brothers. It was the last edition of
Senf on postal stationery (but Senf kept the stamps going until the 1940s).
It is a useful reference for the student. I noticed that they had not received
word of the Tasmanian Fleet card of 1908 (or they mistakenly thought it was
a private issue). However, Ascher also did not list the Tasmanian Fleet card
in his catalogue of 1928 (but he did list those for the mainland States other
than Queensland and Western Australia). This may indicate the difficulties
Senf (and also Ascher) had in just finding reliable contacts who would keep
them up to date.
