Re: PHOTOGRAPHS & INFORMATION ABOUT TASMANIAN POST OFFICES
This concludes my listing of post office photographs.
I purchased these in an auction many years ago and on receipt found that the latter part of the alphabet was missing. Despite enquires I have never located the balance of the collection. I would be delighted if the owner of the remaining pictures would post them into this thread.

Thank you Colin for the excellent contribution that you have made to this topic .... I hope the balance of the collection (wherever it is) can be shared with us by the owner on the TPS BB at a future date. ..... Ross

Re: PHOTOGRAPHS & INFORMATION ABOUT TASMANIAN POST OFFICES
I recently acquired this post card of the Hobart Post Office. No date on the card and no indication of photographer.

Hi Jerry
can you please provide a scan of the other side (it doesn't have to be as large)?

Here are a couple of shots of the ROSS postbox taken in March 2002. Is it still in use?

I was a buyer of some of these items. I will look them out and post some. I know that I have a rather nice PPC of Waratah PO in my postcard collection somewhere....

Yes it is, but the paintwork and inscriptions could be given a bit of a 'touch up' ... it's seen a lot of sunlight and
had more than a few heavy frosts since 2002!!

Re: PHOTOGRAPHS & INFORMATION ABOUT TASMANIAN POST OFFICES
TPS member Colin Salt sent this interesting article about the Baden / Rumney Huts PO (and other Southern Midlands post
offices) which was published in the DEC 1956 / JAN 1957 edition of the A(ustralian) P(ost) O(ffice) Magazine
.... thanks Colin

Two questions arise from this article ...... has anyone seen a 20th impression of the Rumney Huts Crown Seal?
I assume that this usage is the one to which she refers "..and the daily mail bag is still stamped Rumney Huts".
and ..... whatever happened to Percy Fox's collection of Tasmanian stamps!

TULLAH POST OFFICE (to early 1950s)
Sorry for the poor quality but I took the photo with my smartphone in the "Wee Georgie Wood" loco shed at Tullah where it is stapled to the wall.
