Kingston Beach Post Office Closure: 30 June 2014
"Due to continued falling sales in newspapers and postal services, and an unsustainable rise in rental costs we will regrettably cease trading at the end of the month."
I am not aware of any plans for the business to be taken over by anyone else, so the end of the post office for that community.

Thanks for reporting that Matt ...pity there's not another mixed business in the area that could take over the PO licence...it's a bit of 'a walk' from there to Kingston or Blackman's Bay ... better start getting your 'last day covers' ready!
It would be good if someone can get per favour impressions of all the post office-related handstamps currently in use there before the office closes - any volunteers??

The BARRINGTON licensed post office (near Sheffield) is also closing on June 30th.
Local store has become non-viable so closing down and taking the PO with it (similar to the situation at Kingston Beach)!
