Colin, do you know if these photos are ex John Webster? (well-known postmark collector and joint author
of the "Watson, Webster and Wood" publications on the postmarks of Victoria.

John used to visit Tassie during the 1960s/80s and frequently took photos of post offices.
About 10 or 12 years ago I sold a bundle of his PO photos ... I wish I could remember who to .......

Ross. These were an auction purchase several years ago. I cannot remember with certainty the source but was either from you or Premier when David W and Gary W were in busines together. I will post a few at a time until they are all on view.

Herewith two pictures of Campbell Town post office.
The black and white one is undated, but the coloured picture has notes on the back in two different hands. 1. "22 No 80. Campbell Town. Altered since 1940" 2. "used to have verandah pillars in my day"

1. This shows Cambridge post office. The note on back reads "25.6.73. at 50 mph, not bad"
2. Castle Forbes Bay. Date on reverse is either 3.2.87 or 3.2.89.

Yes, the location of the office in the 1970s was at the Exton railway station.
