An print ephemera dealer from New South Wales kindly allowed me to scan this cabinet photo when
he visited my office several years ago. Establishing this new sub-forum devoted to Tasmanian photographs
has reminded me of the items I have tucked away in my computer.
For a little background, here's a report from The Mercury a few days after the disaster.

Has anyone seen this fundraiser photo before or have information about the item?

Re: PIEMAN RIVER BRIDGE COLLAPSE
My copy of this photo has a plain back.
Details of this accident can be found in "The Emu Bay Railway" by Lou Rae, page 100.
I have not been able yet to find much information about the "Vauda" Studio. It is interesting to note that both Long (Tasmanian Photographers 1840 -1940) and Davies and Stanbury (The Mechanical Eye in Australia) both list "Vandu Studio" at Dundas, but Vauda Studio is not listed. Is this a spelling mistake. Is it possible that Long has transferred the mistake in spelling to his book? More research needed!
Have scanned a Vanda Studio photo of a camp along the Emu Bay Railway.
