Probably c.1910 or even quite a bit earlier. Mt Wellington enthusiast and author Maria Grist suggests that the hut in the photo is most likely to be
the "Falls Hut" which was destroyed by fire in 1912 (her photo below). Maria writes "The hut underwent at least one major rebuild in 1903 as well
as several minor rebuilds.One problem with identification of the huts is that because of this continual renovation, the same hut can look quite
different in two different photos.
