The NSW forger has posted on Ebay more fake Specimen and OS material. The forger is using the seller id "skystamps1010" with a location of NSW, Australia.

hi .

I am surprised to see this stamp on Ebay, as evident it's a wrong fake

I've sent him an alert.

A little research would have shown him that it's a well-known forgery, illustrated (as so many are) on Morten's excellent website here :

The forger is back with a new seller name. The new seller name is "stamps_athletes" with a location of NSW, Australia. The forger posted on Ebay another example of a forged Specimen overprint on a halfpenny pictorial. The forger also posted two revenue stamps that could be forgeries, but I have not studied these issues so maybe someone who has can advise whether or not they are indeed bad. Right now, they are guilty by association.

The forger George Nassar has changed two of his usernames yet again. ID skystamps1010 (previously tin7778) is now rebranded as stamps_athletes ; and ID globalstamps1 (formerly centrestamps_6) is now trading as the mis-spelled globbaladmin . His 3rd selling ID bottlejfb is so far unchanged.

There also appears to be a regular shill ID, which has put several feedbacks on all of the above accounts. The username is not yet known, but anonymised in the feedback lists as -***n .

More forgeries from the Sydney forger have been posted on ebay. All three items are forgeries. The forger is using the new seller id "stamps_athletes" with a location of NSW, Australia. The scan is poor quality, but that is one of the forger's actions to try to hide the fact that these items are bad.

The three Specimen forgeries posted on ebay by the Sydney forger (shown in the bulletin board post of 5 May 2022) were withdrawn by the forger and are now being reoffered individually on ebay under another of the forger's seller id's--this time "bottlejfb". I have reposted the images because they are better scans showing the forged Specimen overprints.

Thank you Jerry. I was just posting a similar message when your post appeared.
This guy has been noticed by others as well and action is underway to deal with his forged listings.

Attached is an interesting forgery. A 1-pound keyplate used fiscally (pen cancel under another cancel and overprint). Then a fake barred cancel was applied in an attempt to hide the pen cancel AND a forged REVENUE overprint added to try to make a postal-fiscal stamp. Notice that the forged REVENUE overprint is on top of the pen and fake barred cancel. This creation is posted on ebay by "one-stop-stamp-shop" of Sydney.

COLLECTOR ALERT!
A new type of fake cancel is being used on Tasmanian stamps. It is similar to a genuine barred-numeral canceler (without the numerals) that was used by the Traveling Post Offices (TPO). I did a check of my reference collection and did not find this type within it (although my reference items are probably not complete). However, since three of this type of cancel has shown up within a week of each other and all are being used to try to hide the fiscal usage of the stamp, and all are being offered by the same seller, I expect that more copies will be seen. Collectors need to be wary of any item with this cancel. All the items are on ebay and the seller id is "one-stop-stamp-shop" of Sydney. Scans of two of the items are shown below. The third item, slightly different, is shown in the 19 May 2022 post.

More forgeries posted on ebay from the NSW forger. A halfpenny pictorial with forged Specimen overprint under the forger's seller name of "stamp athletes" and two suspected REVENUE overprint forgeries on the platypus issue under another of the forger's seller names of "globbaladmin".

When notifying forgeries on sale on Ebay, please include links to the listing, or the item number, so that people can report them. In particular, seller one-stop-stamp-shop has many hundreds of items on sale, so it will be difficult to find the rogue items without a listing number.

The Specimen overprints on the Pictorials shown here are certainly bad
as the items shown shouldn't exist as genuine stamps.

Note that the Revenue overprints normally show genuine overprints but many
unscrupulous persons have fiddled with them to create fakes. The 1d Revenue
overprint shown has probably been cleaned. Forged cancellations are quite
common. Note that one can occasionally find genuine cancellations applied
by favour (but that is not evidence of proper postal use). Such items seem
to be quite rare.

And another forged Specimen overprint by the NSW forger is posted on ebay. This time the forger has created a new seller id "bluewonder000" with a location of NSW, Australia. All collectors should be very careful buying any material from this seller id.
