6d mauve Platypus REPRINT with large Colour Flaw

#1 Post by Ross Ewington » Fri Sep 03, 2010 6:36 pm

Has anyone seen any anomalies such as this colour flaw on any of
the 1901 reprints?

Both of the following have flaws (sorry about the scan quality) with the platypus on the right being shot in the sholder. The right stamp has a very poor frame and both stamps have other smaller flaws.

Ross,
I'd have to assume they are fairly common. Here are the only two of this reprint I have in my collection, and both have similar, but smaller, flaws similar to your scan.
