1d Pictorial: plate error or other interesting flaw?

There's a long white vertical streak on the righthand side of this 1d Pictorial. Is this a listed plate flaw or other kind of error?

The 1d litho (V/Crown wmk) plate variety "three vertical streaks; white dot in right panel 8.5mm from top" is from Plate 1 (unit 10) - see Lancaster, page 30. Strangely, Lancaster described this as a minor variety ..... the reason why will probably remain lost in the mists of time ..... it's looks quite major to me.
