If you have one or more "illustration quality" (or just very rare but quite discernible) strikes
of any of the "rubber provisional" datestamps, please post them in this topic.

Here's a group that was recently offered on eBay
MYALLA RAILWAY · JUN 17 1918 · TASMANIA - Type R1 is rated RRR

EAGLEHAWK NECK · 22 DEC 1919 · TASMANIA (unrated)

TONGANAH · JAN 10 1920 · TASMANIA - Type R1 is rated RRRR

GLENORCHY · 1919 or 1921* · TASMANIA - Type R1 is rated RRRR
Used at Glenorchy Railway and not at the Glenorchy post office.

* judging from the worn condition, I would say this impression is from 1921 rather than 1919. Inverted
dateline not recorded by Avery & Hardinge

Re: "RUBBER PROVISIONAL" DATESTAMPS from the 1910s/20s PERIOD
Hi!
in a old all world auction I found this example. I only had a small low resolution scan of the stamp until I received the stamp yesterday. The postmark seems to be a violet rubber type double circle postmark of KAYENA dated 4 AUG 1919. Although it is only a faint strike, I`m nevertheless happy with it. Can anyone confirm the postmark and a rating of RRRR?
Thanks a lot
