I can't recall having seen an example of this particular 'rubber' datestamp.

Please post other examples or earlier/later dates here.

Express Courier Hobart Jul 1991
I have not seen this rubber postmarker before and it does not seem to be listed by Hardinge.
The year is hard to read, but with magnification it appears to be 1991.
I suspect that it is not an internal marker and the fact that it uses the Hobart Postcode of 7000
would seem to imply that it is a valid Post Office issued marker.
Has anyone else seen this particular one? Any ideas?

Two CHIEF TELEGRAPH OFFICE HOBART steel datestamps only seen previously with large datelines have now been recorded
with small datelines .... and used long after the LRD for the original.

Launceston 5T ?? 5T(i)(m). BUT Year is 1954 with a smaller 5. (Too early for the type). Also there is a second (inner circle)
suggesting that it might be a Type R2 postmark. ALSO there are two datelines 1.15P -9SE 54
and 2.30(1)0 OC (5)(?).
This postmark appears on the back of some sort of government form:
City
[
u]PUB[/u]
You are remi....
'married a red he... (Typed)

Any ideas ??

Kettering. I suspect that this is the Type 5 (m), but this is listed as having the first numeral large.
Is this a new postmarker or is the previous description incorrect?

Orford R8. This postmark is listed as being in Blue and Violet inks This one is in Black
Also the dateline is markedly shifted to the right which makes me suspect that there has been a "Time" removed
Any ideas? I thought it might have been an R6, but this is not listed either.

Hi Max,

re ORFORD datestamp I would say that the date has been added using a separate unframed datestamp as sold by stationers

cheers .. Ross

Has anyone else seen an example of this RELIEF 1 TAS Type 8T datestamp? These strikes were
applied at ALONNAH if the return address on one of the covers can be used as evidence.
