PORT HUON POSTCODE ERROR - WHEN WAS IT CORRECTED?

Whilst working away at my listing of neoprene-faced datestamps, I came across a PORT HUON cds from 3 MAY 1996
with the postcode 7109 (the postcode was listed by Australia Post in 1995 as being 7116). I then found a more recent
example of a similar datestamp from PORT HUON (dated 18 MAR 2006) with the correct postcode.

Does anyone know when the postcode error was corrected or any other information about this anomaly?
Footnote: since first making this post I came across a another "wrong postcode" Port Huon cds from 27FEB2002 which
narrows down the period to be searched quite a bit.
