I must admit I was distracted by the postal history aspects of this card well before I looked at
it as a picture postcard (see view of the back below and you'll see what I mean). This card was printed
in Germany, is numbered '721' and has 'S. Carson, Wynyard' attributed as the publisher.

"An Angler's Paradise, River Inglis, Wynyard, Tasmania"

I can't recall having seen any cards published by Carson before. Does anyone have some information or
images of other cards that can be posted here?
Also, could the card have been prepared for Carson by a larger producer such as Selwyn Cox in Launceston?

Re: CARDS PUBLISHED by S. CARSON of WYNYARD - GOT ANY?
Can add the following 8 S.Carson postcards. All from the same set as your card, ie all have the wood type frame and the back side is the same.I think they are Spurling photos originally. I have a Spurling real photo card which is exactly the same as "Near the Caves Fossil Bluff Wynyard Tasmania"
7 of my cards are mint and 1 is used but no date.
I have been unable to find any referenace to S. Carson Wynyard in either the 1904 and 1913 Tas PO Dirctories. Perhaps he is listed in between 1904 & 1913.
So perhaps a set of 12? Cards numbered 712 to 721.
(1) ????
1. Moonbeams, Table Cape, Tasmania. No 712
2. A Rising Tide, Table Cape from Fossil Bluff, Tasmania. No 713
3. ???? No 714
4. Detention Falls, a tourist attraction, near Wynyard Tasmania. No 715
5. The home of the English Trout, Inglis River and Cape fishing ground, River and Cape Bridge, Wynyard Tasmania. No 716
6.A great fishing ground, River Inglis, Wynyard Tasmania. No 717
7. Near the Caves, Fossil Bluff, Wynyard Tasmania. No 718
8. St Bride's R.C. Church, Wynyard Tasmania. No 719
9. The Wharf from Pilot Station Reserve, Wynyard Tasmania. No 720
10. An Angler's Paradise River Inglis, Wynyard Tasmania. (your card) No 721
11. ???

I have seven different cards and eight in all. Three are used. Fortunately I can add No. 714, which is "The Wharves from Inglis Park, Wynyard". I cannot extend the range of numbers as mine are in the range 712 to 720 inclusive.

Thanks Patrick ...do use have 'dates' for one or more of your used examples?
Re: CARDS PUBLISHED by S. CARSON of WYNYARD - GOT ANY?
Yes , I am sure they have dates, but finding them.... I have decided to reorganise my collection by publisher, but that will take a long time..... At present only Ash Bester and Murray cards have their own dedicated albums. If I remember I will let you know when the job is done, but there are 5000+ cards to sort.
