Real Photo King Island Cards by C A Pitt & Co.

#1 Post by Hobbit123 » Tue Aug 14, 2012 1:54 am

While going through my boxes I came across two cards of King Island by C.A Pitt & Co. of Payneham SA. The numbering suggests there at least 17 in the series. Does anyone else have some? (I am sure someone will).

They show: King Island area School, Currie (P1412) and Currie & Surroundings (P1417). I suspect that my P1412 is a 'bootleg' print from a scan as it has no proper postcard back and it is smaller than the other.

It's been over 6 years since Patrick made the post above re cards by C.A. Pitt Ltd. and I can now report some more cards ...this time
in a more 'regular' format .....ie. photo with title in margin at base.

interesting to note that the top card illustrated has an ID number of the same type as the cards posted by Patrick whereas the previous three cards are numbered
2562, 2564 and 2565

Has anyone found any cards by C.A. Pitt ??
