Kellys Point, Bruni Island

Found this rather interesting cover today. It was posted at Kellys Point, Bruny Island on June 2? (perhaps a 5 or 6) 1879 to Back River New Norfolk. It has Hobart Town and New Norfolk backstamps.
Note the spelling of Bruny Island on the letter head. The letter was written by S.T.Young.

I have consulted the 2 green books for information.
I was unable to find any reference of a Kellys Point CDS. Also I thought the killer postmark on the stamp was a TPO cancellation!

Was it applied at Hobart on transit to New Norfolk or was it an emergency use at Kellys Point?

THis stamp had been doubly struck with two obliterators. Firstly the 49 of Kelly's Point and secondly on arrival at Hobart the Hobart obliterator, presumably as the Kelly's Point numeral is quite faint.

I think the date of the Kelly's Point strike is 23 June, but the '3' is very lightly struck. The transit marks on the back are Hobart-Town Ju 27 / 79 and New Norfolk 28 Jun / 1879. I can see no reason why the letter would take more than a couple of days to get to Hobart, not the three weeks originally suggested.

Vol I of Campbell, Purves and Viney states that Kelly's Point was on Barnes Bay and became a post office in 1878. Kelly's Point was the original name of Dennes Point and (I presume) the post office was relocated to Barnes Bay on the death of J T Denne who operated the Post Office from 'Woodlands', Kelly's Point until he died on 4 May, 1906 (ref: http://www.chestnut-blue.com/Chestnut%20Blue-o/p144.htm).

Barnes Bay opened in its own right in 1902 but closed by 1905.
