Not bad eh?

BN388 is yet to be tied to a post office .... if I remember rightly, the "smart money" is on it having been at use
at BLESSINGTON UPPER during 1900. It's definitely rated RRRR though.

If you have any top strikes of rated BARRED NUMERAL postmarks on PICTORIALS please post them here.
Don't hide them in your album when you can make other folks really jealous!!

You have some very nice examples there. I just checked through the latest BN rarity ratings by John Hardinge ( latest edition of The Courier, June 2011, No 51) and I noticed all numerals are at least R, with a couple of 4R - 372 of Thurstane, and 384 of Gunns Plains, as well as a fair number of RR and RRR strikes. Very nice lot.

BN361 (used at Mount Hicks Upper) is only rated 'R' and this is by no means a "top example"
however the strike is on a lithographed 2d Pictorial with V/Crown watermark issued in January 1902
indicating an exceptionally late use of the postmark at this office.
