please note that the listing on page 39 is not correct

1) the datestamp does not read "MONEY ORDERS"
2) a Type R2b rubber cds does not exist

1899 dates after December 25th on Hobart and Launceston postmarks can be found with a little effort. Postmarks pre-dating December 25th are much scarcer in my experience.

All 1899 dated postmarks from post offices other than Hobart and Launceston are very scarce to extremely rare.

to assist with ID, can you please post an image of the other three positions (if you eliminate all but the cancel, that will assist too)?

This is interesting as the PO re-opened (after a 2+ years closure) on 1 FE 02

A new late date for the LAUNCESTON Type 4 cds - 26SE56 - this is about 11 months later than the published LRD

If you have some FDCs cancelled at Launceston, it may be worthwhile to check out any Type 4 dates as some later dates may turn up!

The publisher name printed on the back of the card is W.L. Wells & Co., Latrobe
