The image posted by Malcolm is a very nice copy of BN28 of the first allocation. One of the best references showing examples of first allocation numerals is David McNamee's exhibit which can be found at:

Strahan.jpg I am attempting to complete my collection of examples of the various Strahan circular date stamps and I am after copies with the stop after Tasmania (see example of the D code attached) and codes A, H, K, O, S or V. Ideally these would be single penny stamps but would consider examples ...

Re: Hobart Parcels Office cds on Pictorials
I have over a dozen examples of this postmark with most on higher value stamps (tablets, sidefaces and pictorials) and all bar 2 have the 4 PM time. The other 2 are 8 A from 1908 (year as 8 not 08) and 9.45A from 1906. David McNamee in his Registered Mail exhibit has examples (4 PM again) of this cd...

Re: Times for Burnie and Zeehan Type 3 CDS
John
I will have a check of various boxes and albums for more Zeehan material. I have a fair range of times for the day before month variety at a quick glance and will provide details after a bit of searching.
Burnie times:
8.15P, 8.15A, 1.15P, 8.30P, 1.15(looks like A).

Re: Times for Burnie and Zeehan Type 3 CDS
I have a fair selection of time cancels from Zeehan more or less grouped by the various types and there are a number of times not listed in the Green Books. Looking at a page of the first type I have examples of the following times: 12.45A (probably an error), 6.45A, 7A, 11A, 12.30P, 12.45P, 1P, 1.3...

Dromedary year slug error
While sorting through some stamps with Dromedary postmarks I found several (including those in the following scan) where the year was incorrect. There were no postmarks on the ONE PENNY overprints with the 1912 year slugs in the material I was looking through and this was corrected for January 1913....

Re: NEED ASSISTANCE WITH IDENTIFYING POSTMARKS? - ASK HERE !
Could someone tell me which of the Launceston types this postmark is. My thoughts are that it is the type 2 (Green book vol 1 Fig 96 for image and Vol2 page 73 for date). I found a couple of these in an envelope of common Launceston types and this example is the nicer of the two.
