I'm not specifically a collector of Tasmania stamps. Simply trying to annotate stamps in my collection correctly. I have an example of the halfpenny overprint on the 1d red (1889 ) which has the overprint hyphenated. My other copies are not hyphenated, and it is not listed as such by Stanley Gibbons in their specialist commonwealth catalogue. Is it uncommon? Does it come from a particular town/office? Any help would be welcome. I'm attaching image in case it's of interest.

Re: Halfpenny overprint
Hi Jon
Unfortunately, it's a forgery ..... if you enlarge the image on your scanner, I think that you will see that 'enny' is printed on top of the postmark
