Is this considered a postcard ? The message on the back suggests 1896 . Does anyone know who produced this or when they were done ?

More of a guess than an answer but it’s very early for a Tasmanian picture postcard, nor does it have a Postcard back, address or stamp so I’d say it’s not a picture postcard. I don’t recall any picture postcards before 1898.

That’s why I’m puzzled by the date on the back and the printed words on the front, I was hoping someone may have this in their collection

Matt, in my 15 years of collecting I have never seen it. More experienced members might hopefully comment
