I recently bought a large collection of modern Tassie postmarks and am interested if there is a book/catalogue listing of some description showing what exists??

Sadly, there is no publication available that lists very modern Tasmanian postmarks.

There is good news though as quite an amount of information is available from posts to this online forum and you are able to contact other members who, through the evidence provided by some of their posts, have an interest in this field. Check out posts in the "Tasmania - Postmarks and Postal Markings from 1913 to recent" category. Please remember though that this forum is a 'two way street' and members will enjoy illustrated posts of your inquiries and 'discoveries'.

P.S. You can get a reasonably accurate listing of Tasmanian post offices past and present with opening and closing dates from the Premier Postal Auctions website.
