A forged cancel on a 10/ Keyplate is on eBay being offered by the well-known auctioneer with seller id "Ian Perry" of Newport, UK. The seller does state that the cancel is a forgery. I think it is good for collectors to be aware of what forged cancels look like.

Re: Forgeries and Facsimiles seen on Online Auction Sites, etc
A page of old-time 4d Courier forgeries is on eBay. They are all the same forgery and I scanned only a few to show the type. This same forgery was previously mentioned in an old post from 18 October 2010. The seller is "onceuponjean" from Lesquin, France. The seller does mention in the notes that the items are forgeries.

Re: Forgeries and Facsimiles seen on Online Auction Sites, etc
Unlike some of the 4d Courier forgeries seen recently on eBay, one of the dangerous Jeffrey forgeries has been listed by "marcomarkymark" of Langezwaag, Netherlands. The cancel is also one of Jeffrey's forgeries.

More forgeries on eBay from "YHStamps2020" of London UK. I continue to highly recommend that buyers be very careful purchasing anything (Tasmania or anything else) from this seller. If you do buy anything, make sure you can return it!

Collectors Beware! A new seller id for which we all need to be wary--"collectablestamps_9" of NSW, Australia. This new seller id appears to be associated with the Australian forgery gang. The seller has listed on eBay forged REPRINT overprints on forged Chalons. The same items were previously offered by other known members of the forgery gang "niftystamps111" and "bluewonder143", both of NSW, Australia (see TPS BB post of 17 Jan 2024).

Re: Forgeries and Facsimiles seen on Online Auction Sites, etc
Another 4d Courier forgery on eBay. Same type produced by the Australian forgery gang. The seller is "Gobal-Stamps" of SA, Australia. This seller is the same as "pebbelstamps" of SA, Australia--a known member of the gang. [Note: On a post under Forgeries on OS Perfins, I noted this same seller but indicated at that time that "pebbelstamps" was using "Global-Stamps". I do not know if I had a typo error under that post (Global for Gobal) or if the forgers have created a new seller id. Too late for me to check because the listing is gone, and I did not collect the eBay item number. Nevertheless, please be aware of either seller id names.]

Another 1d Courier forgery is listed on eBay by "Pioneer Stamps" of QLD, Australia. This seller is one of the Australian forgery gang members. This same seller has listed a group of OS perfin forgeries. See the TPS Bulletin Board topic for perfins to see scan of those creations.
In addition, three old-time Chalon forgeries are listed on eBay by a seller out of Ukraine.

A fiscally used 1d perforated Chalon with a forged barred numeral 11 cancel is posted on eBay by seller "The Stamp & Cover Collector" out of England, UK. This is a nice example of the cancel forgery.

Re: Forgeries and Facsimiles seen on Online Auction Sites, etc
A 1/ Chalon with a fake cancel is on eBay by seller "da adca rtddsegjbg" of Falkirk, UK. I can't see any evidence of fiscal use, so the fake cancel--which resembles a genuine cancel--might fool an unsuspecting collector. Even though I can't see any evidence of fiscal use, the fake cancel strongly indicates that the stamp was used fiscally.

A 1d Chalon with a fake BN170 cancel is listed on eBay by "collectableswarehouse1" of Morwell, VIC, Australia. Fiscal pen markings can be faintly seen beneath the cancel. This is the first time that I have seen this barred numeral faked; and it is significantly different from a genuine BN170. This is an excellent example of why collectors need to be knowledgeable because even reputable sellers can have bad items.

Re: Forgeries and Facsimiles seen on Online Auction Sites, etc
"Masterxroshi" of Punchbowl, NSW, Australia is selling bad material on eBay again. Two forged Couriers (1d and 4d), a Specimen forgery on a 6d lithograph, and two cleaned Chalons that were fiscally used. The two forged Couriers are being offered with three genuine Chalons.
