Halfpenny lithographed - Early dates of use

While working on my Halfpenny lithographed it became apparent that there is a discrepancy in the records regarding the early recorded use for the Halfpenny lithographed.
Lancaster records use in February 1903 and states that he 'has heard of a January 1903 use". However according to Note Printing records the steel plates were not issued until May 1903 making earlier dates impossible. Purves states that the perf. 12.4 perforated lithographs were first reported in the Australian Philatelist on 1 October 1903.
The purpose of this post is therefore to record early dates so I start with my earliest (14 September 1903) which I doubt very much will prove to be the earliest.
