1910 2d Pictorial Blotchy Printing

Wolfgang Keilmann & myself have been having a correspondence in "Sydney Views" regarding the 1910 2d Pictorial Electrotype printing in a dry ink resulting in an ugly blotchy appearance. The shade is listed as dull grey-violet by Brusden-White (ACSC T36C).
All four of our combined used examples are Perf 11, which will lead to a new listing T37C.
Our question is: Was this printing ever perforated Perf 12.4 as BW states? Neither of us have seen a Perf 12.4 example. Should T36C be deleted? The editor, Geoff Kellow, is aware of our question.
I hope that Richard Stapleton, Jerry Weirich, Malcolm Groom or another expert can answer our question.
