UNUSUAL 'PAID AT LAUNCESTON' CANCELLATION FROM 2002

I came across these covers quite recently and noted that I am unfamiliar with this particular
neoprene-faced cancellation, namely..

PAID AT LAUNCESTON · TAS AUST (no postcode!!!) - one example without a dateline, the other
with a dateline (19 JUN 2002) but this may have been added with an unframed straight-lined datestamp.
