GREETINGS FROM .... CARDS - TASMANIAN PRINTINGS

#1 Post by Ross Ewington » Fri Jan 13, 2012 11:14 am

There are many "Greetings from ... (insert Tasmanian place name here)" cards that have been published in all eras. Some have already been recorded in other topics in this forum.

The card below was published by Selwyn Cox, Launceston - Real Photo Series No.11. It was postally used from Campbell Town in 1907.

If you own some of these cards that were produced locally (i.e. in Tasmania) please add them with the publisher details (if known) in this topic.

To record "Greetings from ... (insert Tasmanian place name here)" cards that were published and/or printed overseas or in another Australian state,
please go to this topic. http://tps.org.au/bb/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=774

This attractive "Greetings from Burnie" card by A.W. Marshall (Devonport) even has a small portrait of KEVII in the lower left corner.

I sold this card a number of years ago and although it was postally used, I cannot recall the postmarked date.
(perhaps the current owner of this card is who a TPS BB member can fill in this detail? :) )
