The cards show three aspects of the Hobart Stamp Show 2012 theme "Tasmania 1912": 1) the North Lyell Mining Disaster:
2) the arrival of Amundsen in Hobart, March 1912 after his conquest of the South Pole and 3) the last year of the Tasmanian pictorial stamps.
