Attributing "Unidentified Photographer" cards to W. Fellowes

#1 Post by Ross Ewington » Wed Jun 04, 2014 2:13 pm

William Fellowes of D.I.C. fame was active as a Hobart photographer between WWI and c.1940

Although the majority of his real photo cards have an attribution of "D.I.C." on the view side
and often his name and address printed on the verso, sometimes both sources of ID are missing.

I was preparing the cards below for auction and thought that the opportunity to compare identified
cards with those having no obvious attribution but are most likely to have been produced by Fellowes
was an opportunity too good to miss.

Some of the cards below have "D.I.C." printed on them while others do not but the identified view appears
to have been printed by the same "hand". Do you agree? ..... please post the name of the ship on any cards
that you may feel may not be in the same printing style or indicate that you agree regarding all the cards.
