I think that this card "At Lobster Creek River Leven..." is a "Spurling Production" however the publisher
cited is "J.C. Ralph, Ulverstone"
Unfortunately, the franking has been removed so the date of use is unknown.
Does anyone have other cards attributed to Ralph? Was Ralph a newsagent, bookseller, etc.?

Re: POSTCARDS by J.C. RALPH, ULVERSTONE
A quick search has not found any reference to J.C.Ralph. I have found reference to a F.C.Ralph who was a Hairdresser in Ulverstone. More research needed !
Have found the following J C Ralph postcards-
1.Road and Railway Bridge Ulverstone
2. Reibey St Ulverstone.
3. Gawler Falls near Ulverstone.
4. Lobster Creek River Leven.
5. Ulverstone.
6. Railway Cutting. Penguin
7. Penguin.

Re: POSTCARDS by J.C. RALPH, ULVERSTONE
thanks Mike
the card you have illustrated appears to be a Spurling & Son "production" as well. Is this the case for the others in your list?
re the Ralph initials, it may be a typo as is the case with E. M. Welling of Zeehan where the correct initials are "F.M." I believe.

Yes, They all appear to be Spurling "productions".
With regards to Welling. In the 1913 Tasmanian PO Directory, Miss F.M. Welling is listed as a bookseller, Main Street Zeehan. So it appears that E.M. Welling is wrong! ??
