I have just received this rather interesting real photo card by Ernest Winter (mailed to South Australia in December 1918) with what appears to be a view of an army camp at the South Burnie Showground ....can anyone shed some light on this view?

Re: REAL PHOTO CARDS by ERNEST WINTER (Tasma Studio, Burnie)
A view of the basalt quarry near the entrance to the wharves c.1920 - the side of the VDL Co. Buildings (sadly now demolished)
is visible at upper left. Unfortunately, very little of the columnar basalt at left remains ... the formation was caused by a second flow of basalt disturbing
a previous, slow-cooling flow (thus the columns formed)
...recent view ...time has moved on here!
