Re: Cards published by A.J. Holloway, Hobart - Do you have a
A search of Trove shows that A.J. Holloway ran a shop at 39 Liverpool, "2 doors from Palfreymans Corner". An advertisement on 14 December 1907, p1, advertises a Christmas Sale with fancy goods and stationary.
But the following item appeared in The Mercury on 23 January, 1908:
Look at the other authors of the letter! Its our friend W.J. Little, 'The Postcard King", who had a shop not far away in Elizabeth Street.

thanks Des .... I had not seen that reference to the prohibition of mailing tinselled postcards before.
Here's another A.J. Holloway card that surfaced on my desk today... The card was used in 1910.

My listings tell me that I have two cards by Holloway, another 'Falls Hut' card and one of 'Dead Island, Port Arthur (1600 graves). As usual, I regret I have no idea where in my albums they are!
