The 'Old Mill' at Carrick

#1 Post by territorian1 » Wed Mar 04, 2015 11:08 pm

My brother has recently purchased the 'Old Mill' at Carrick which dates from 1846. The cottage on the property apparently dates from 1839. Does anyone know if there are postcards showing this prominent building in Carrick? I'm sure that my brother would be keen to see early photos/postcards to appreciate what the building and surroundings would have looked like in the early 1900's. Thank-you, Mike

I can't recall having seen a postcard view of this mill which is unusual considering it's one of only several 'significant' buildings in Carrick.

Here's what the building looked like a few years ago

There's some background to the mill on Wikipaedia (I can't resist correcting the spelling!)
