Organising the Walch VIgnetted Cards

J. Walch & Sons published six series of vignetted cards in the years 1900-1904. These are all undivided back cards. They have different features that allow them to be dated to year. There are big differences between the years, except between 1901 and 1902, where the only difference is what is capitalised in the captions. Caption in red, in upper and lower case. eg "RIVER DERWENT at New Norfolk"
POST CARD. ---- TASMANIA. on back in red, two lines of same size undernaeth
- The layout is the same as the 1901 series, with only one difference - the caption is always in upper case, not mixed upper and lower case as in the 1901 series. eg THE SHOT TOWER, BROWNS RIVER ROAD not THE SHOT TOWER, Browns River Road.
- Printed by halftone letterpress by J. Walch & Sons in Hobart
Front has "J. WALCH & SONS PRINTERS" along the left edge
The back has "POST CARD --- TASMANIA." in a different sans serif font.

The layout is the same as the 1903 series except the "POST CARD --- TASMANIA." in another different serif font.

Caption on front in black italics
