Robert Jolley and his postcards

Robert Jolley was a Melbourne publisher, importer and businessman who published attractive Australian postcards between 1899 (possible 1898) and 1905. In this first article I give an outline of Jolley, his business operations and an overview of his cards. In a later article I will discuss his first series of postcards, the Multishape Series, which seem to be the earliest Australian cards.
