I recently brought a English fishing book (River and Pond, Sketches of Wild Nature and Country Life, no date but c1920) with 2 interesting hand stamps on the inside cover. There are 2 stamps of F.M.Batten 82 George St Launceston, Bookseller & Newsagent, Postcards and Photos. The second hand stamp is overstamped with H.E.Cutts with the rest of the hand stamp the same. A change of ownership? F.M.Batten seems to have operated c 1923 to 1937.
A quick goggle and trove search did not turn up much on these two names. Does anyone know of postcards published with the name Batten or Cutts or can you supply further information?
