Can anyone identify these 2 characters?
Card 1 mentions Nobbie Dixon, posted Hobart 1905.
Card 2. A blind man with his dog and piano accordian. Real photo card by J C Breaden, 12 Waverly Avenue, Hobart. Plain back but postcard size.

Compare "Nobby Dixon" with the image of the knife sharpener published in Dan Sprods "Victorian and Edwardian Tasmania from old Photographs" I do not have my copy in front of me however I think it looks like same person.

I have just had a look at the knife Sharpener photo (66) in Dan Sprod's book. It is possible that it is him, this man seems to have much longer hair. Sprod identifys him as "Brother" Payne ! Mike Simco.

I will also add re the "Nobby Dixon" card, the Dave B is David Barclay who was manager of the Commercial Bank of Tasmania and very prominent in Tasmanian business life at the time.
